Chrondroitin sulfate Does it Work?

Is Chondroitin Sulfate a Good Supplement?

Joe Cannon

People often use chondroitin sulfate to help osteoarthritis. This is the reason chondroitin sulfate is often found in combination with glucosamine in supplements.

While there is some research that chrondroitin sulfate might help alleviate some for the pain of osteoarthritis, for the moment I don’t recommend this supplement. Recent research has linked chondroitin to an increased risk of prostate cancer and relapses of prostate cancer. Chondroitin may also interact with blood thinner medications. Given that older men (who are at risk of prostate cancer) often use this supplement for osteoarthritis, they should be made aware of this possibility.

  1. Hey do you feel that the form of chondroitin may affect the results? such as a pill form or a liquid form?

  2. Jimmy, I dont see any proof that chrondroitin adds anything to effects of glucosamine or that a pill or liquid form makes a difference ( I see no proof either way).
The site I review products now is Supplement-Geek.com and I have several other reviews on arthritis products including chrondroitin here is one
